Not the cheapest bowling alley in the world,
but it definitely has its cast of characters.
Check it out one day when you get the chance.

Giglio Festival Williamsburg, Brooklyn 2011
"Our Lady of Mt Carmel Feast"
In front of about 20,000 people (see below) a group of about 120 Italian
Men carry a 5 story statue equipped with a band, some MCs and a
camerman through the streets of Williamsburg. For more info about the
festival click here or here
as you can see the men in the blue shirts and white hats
are carrying the statue, et al.
The streets were completely filled, and we all had to get out
of the way when the Giglio made it's way down Havemeyer St.
Go check it out next year!

A commemoration for a young man who was killed after his HS
graduation. I felt weird taking a picture of this, but I am always
intrigued to see how people react to death, even under very
complicated/tragic circumstances.

I am by no means endorsing Southern Hospitality Restaurant, but I
recently went there with some friends for a $35 BBQ feast along with
5 shots of bourbon per person. Considering that in NYC 5 shots of good
bourbon would cost more than $35 we had to give it a go. Let's just
say that the food was decent but the company and the bourbon were
really spot on. Next time, we'l just buy a bottle and hang out together

Matisyahu at the Symphony Space on 6/15.
My buddy Adam played guitar with him that night and they
put on a really entertaining show. Matis is a great performer
and Adam really complimented him well. And there was a melodica to boot.
Thanks to Sara for bringing me along.
