I liked the simplicity of this homemade bird feeder
on Duke Ellington Boulevard.

Katie an i recently went to an awesome Jazz show in first floor
of an old speakeasy in Harlem. There were about 15 total people there
and an outdoor patio, where we sat while enjoying the soothing music.
Let me know if you're interested in going and I'll send you the info.

When I was a little kid I was always mesmerized by the flying
advertisements we saw at the beach when visiting my grandparents.
Now I'm more prone to point out the irony of something called
"Landshark" being advertised in the air. Anyway, the water felt great
and I had a great time with Rozzie and everybody else on Saturday.

Coming back into NYC. The lights on the buildings couldn't compare
to the stars in the New Mexico sky. What a great trip with great food
and great friends. New Mexico, don't miss us too much, we'll definitely be back.

This is the take out window at the Chow Cart in Taos.
I thought it was hilarious that it has an outdoor lock on it.
Nevertheless, the breakfast was awesome!

Pics from the first annual Wildlife Capture (and release) competition.
Entries were up to the individual's interpretation of wildlife.
We had a very diverse showing like the following pic:

which was more flora than fauna

This one was a spider chasing a beetle.
Although the competition was stiff, I was able to take home
the victory with my giant grasshopper.
I'm already looking forward to next year's competition :)

Ain't nothing like a home cooked green chile blue cheese burger
with fresh avocado and a grilled veggie quinoa salad for dinner
with some great friends on a cool New Mexico night.
Much love to Yo, Brandon, Meghan, Katie, Rachel
and Greg and Yen for preparing the feast.

So Katie and I just recently got a new digital SLR camera.
We also got a zoom lens that enables us to take super close up pics.
The trip to Taos and the moon gave us a great opportunity to test it out.

#456

One of the (endless) things I love about Taos, NM is how clear the
skies are and how the mountains don't obstruct your view of the sunset.
I also love how the setting sun illuminates storm clouds in the distance.
aaaaaahhhh New Mexico!

#455

We decided to go on a hike down into the Rio Grande Gorge
to go swimming in some natural hot springs.

They weren't hot at all and were incredibly refreshing.
And we ended up seeing only one completely naked man.

EARTHSHIPS!!

We just got back from an amazing trip in northern New Mexico
with some friends. One of our stops was at the Earthship Headquarters
in Taos. If you don't what an Earthship is click here or here.

Beautiful swimming hole in the Catskills.
Right when we showed up, the only other people there were leaving and
the next people showed up when we were getting ready to leave!
The water was cold and amazingly refreshing.
What a day.

We found this bright orange lizard crawling across our fire pit up in the
Catskills in late July. I love its lil paws and the red spots on its back.
