We found this bright orange lizard crawling across our fire pit up in the
Catskills in late July. I love its lil paws and the red spots on its back.

    Hey Matty- this is a red eft (a salamander not a lizard). They are bright orange when they are young so no one cooks and eats them in the fire pit- then they turn sort of olive green and spend their adulthood in water. xoxo, Debbie
